INTERIM COMPANY MANAGER, AFRICAN FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY
THE POSITION
We are looking for an Interim Company Manager to embark on and coordinate a capacity building journey with us, fortifying our artistic and educational programming through strengthening our operations.
This is a contract position for $20,000 for 4 months at 35hrs/week, and our ideal is for the candidate to start immediately. However, we are happy to hear about (and try to work with) work schedules that differ from this. Though the candidate will work most of the time remotely, some in person meetings, workshops, and visioning sessions in Vancouver will be required as safety permits.
Deliverables for this position will ultimately depend on the successful candidate, but our expectation is that they will contribute to and implement new operational and administrative processes which could include: project/production planning; workflows; financial and statistical data input and tracking; facility plans and management, or fundraising initiatives. We want a collaborator to help us build the foundation for a vibrant company future.

THE PERSON
The ideal candidate has experience in arts, performance, not-for-profit and/or entertainment backgrounds, with a strong diversity of skills and experience that will enable them to jump deeply and supportively into aspects of our organization, programming, and operations.
The ideal candidate is confident and able to help us envision the development and implementation of our administrative and operational strategies, to help us reach the next phase of our lifecycle. This will require curiosity, humility, and a community-oriented mentality.
We encourage applicants from a diversity of backgrounds, lived experiences, and abilities. Applicants of African or Black descent are strongly encouraged, though candidates of all backgrounds will be seriously considered.
